What is life and where do we look for it in the universe? - Search for habitable worlds

Language: English

Gwenaël van Looveren

In two presentations to more than 100 children, Gwenaël van Looveren spoke about the many examples of life that we can find on Earth and raised the question of whether life exists outside our planet. We need to be clear about what life actually is and what it needs. Only when we know all the prerequisites for the existence of life can we begin the search.

Variety of worlds

German, Englisch, and Spanish

Anahí Caldú Primo

The activity consisted on a talk on planets that orbit other stars, different than the Sun. How do we find them, how do they look like?

After seeing how different other planets can be, kids were given a different planet or moon of our solar system. With the information given, they designed an alien that could live in that other world.

Here you can see some examples of the aliens!

A sky full of galaxies
